Aggregation-Induced Emission-Active Iridium(III) Complexes for Sensing Picric Acid in Water

نویسندگان

چکیده

Herein, two new iridium(III) complexes, namely Ir2 and Ir3, with a phenyl or triphenylamine (TPA) moiety at the 4-position of ring 2-phenylbenzothiazole, have been synthesized, their emission properties studied systematically compared non-substituted complex Ir1. These three complexes exhibit aggregation-induced (AIE) in H2O/CH3CN. The TPA-substituted Ir3 shows highest AIE activity. All can be used as sensors to detect picric acid (PA) water. Stern–Volmer constant (KSV) for detection PA was determined 1.96 × 106 M−1, low limit 2.52 nM. Proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectra, high-resolution mass spectrometry analysis, density function theory calculations confirm that quenching mechanism is caused by photo-induced electron transfer. Furthermore, efficient natural water proves Ir1–Ir3 promising environment. results suggest AIE-active under environment-friendly conditions.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound N,N-dimethyl-2-[(2-methyl-phen-yl)phenyl-meth-oxy]ethanaminium picrate picric acid, C(18)H(24)NO(+)·C(6)H(2)N(3)O(7) (-)·C(6)H(3)N(3)O(7), contains one orphenadrinium cation, one picrate anion and one picric acid mol-ecule. In the orphenadrine cation, the two aromatic rings form a dihedral angle of 70.30 (7)°. There is an intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen ...

In the crown ether ring of the title compound, C(20)H(24)O(6)·2C(6)H(3)N(3)O(7)·3H(2)O, the O-C(H(2))-C(H(2))-O torsion angles indicate a gauche conformation of the ethyl-eneoxy units, while the C-O-C-C torsion angles indicate planarity of these segments; the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 44.53 (13)°. In both picric acid mol-ecules, one of the nitro groups is twisted away from...

Aggregation-induced emission of siloles

Aggregation-induced emission (AIE) is a unique and significant photophysical phenomenon that differs greatly from the commonly acknowledged aggregation-caused emission quenching observed for many π-conjugated planar chromophores. The mechanistic decipherment of the AIE phenomenon is of high importance for the advance of new AIE systems and exploitation of their potential applications. Propeller...

An aggregation-induced emission (AIE) active probe renders Al(III) sensing and tracking of subsequent interaction with DNA.

An aggregation-induced emission (AIE) active probe (L) displayed TURN-ON fluorescence response toward Al(3+) under physiological conditions and in HeLa cells. The L-Al(3+) ensemble could subsequently facilitate tracking of interaction with DNA in solution.

Development of a Field Method for Quantifying Ammonium Picrate and Picric Acid in Soil and Water

Methods for the detection and quantification of ammonium picrate and picric acid in soil and water were developed. Picrate ions were extracted from water directly or from acetone extracts of soil by solid-phase, acidic, ionexchange materials. Elution from the ion exchangers was accomplished by converting the retained picrate to picric acid using strong aqueous, acid– organic solvent mixtures. T...
